Prince William Talks About The Huge Issue He Had Regarding Archie's Birth

Prince Harry and Prince William have always faced massive scrutiny. Now that each brother is married and in the process of expanding the royal bloodline, the public and media are more interested than ever in their personal lives, especially the drama surrounding the birth of Archie, Harry and Meghan Markle’s son. Family strife marred something that was meant to be a momentous occasion, and the princes divulged their sides of the whole story — and what these developments mean for the future of their relationship.

Strained Relationship

For years, reporters have speculated about Harry and William’s brotherly relationship, though getting the truth on any royal situation is next to impossible. In his book, Battle of Brothers: William and Harry – The Inside Story of a Family in Tumult, royal historian Robert Lacey explored the reality of the brothers’ troubles.

According to Robert, the arrival of Archie caused a major argument between the royal siblings. William reportedly wasn’t pleased with how Harry and Meghan announced the birth of their son through the palace. The whole situation was a complicated mess from William's perspective.

Early Arrival

"On the morning of 6 May [2019], Meghan was duly delivered of her delayed but healthy son, weighing in at 7lbs 3oz," Robert wrote. "Baby Archie had arrived with the dawn at 5.26 a.m.” From there, the situation didn't follow royal traditions.

Secret Homecoming

Because Meghan gave birth so early this “… allow[ed] grandmother Doria and the happy couple to return to Windsor with their precious cargo undetected,” Robert wrote. This seems innocent enough on the surface.
